Science - Technology - Engineering - Mathematics STEM

 

STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and it represents a wide range of fields that contribute to the advancement of human knowledge and innovation.

Stem

Science is the study of the natural world, including physical, chemical, and biological processes. In STEM education, science provides a foundation for understanding the world around us and helps students develop analytical and observational skills.

Technology refers to the tools and techniques that humans use to create, design, and innovate. In STEM education, technology provides students with hands-on experience with the latest tools and software and prepares them for the demands of the modern workplace.

The "A" in STEAM

STEAM is an acronym that represents the combination of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with the Arts. STEAM-focused curricula go beyond STEM by incorporating the study of humanities, language arts, dance, drama, music, visual arts, design, new media, and other artistic disciplines. In STEAM education, the emphasis is on applying creative thinking to STEM projects, using the arts as a catalyst to ignite students' imagination and foster their creativity.
